No to Water Balloons

Today I learned that just because the doctor did not mention something on the list of "no's" following surgery does not mean it should be tried! This afternoon Earnie was belly aching because Mom wouldn't let the boys go swimming in the pond across the road. (Faith knows nothing of the pond and I want to keep it that way!!! It can not be seen from the house.) Well, Earnie was complaining because it was hot & he couldn't go swimming. Instead he had to go work outside. Me, being the quiet, nonmischievious person that I am decided that what he needed was a good dose of a prank. I dug around and found 2 water balloons. Filled them up and enlisted Peter's help. We snuck around the house to where Earnie was working and let those balloons fly! We did catch him off guard. The only trouble was the balloons bounced off him and broke on the ground. Although Earnie did get wet, it was not as wet as we were hoping. The other trouble: I discovered that heaving that water balloon through the air was a very bad idea! It really worked my chest over and I've been aching very since. While it was funny, I'm not sure it was worth it. But do you think I stopped? No...Earnie hadn't really gotten wet. Mom just bought a little sprayer (the kind you spray weeds in your yard with). It's brand new and has had no chemicals. The 'kids' have been spraying each other with it all day. It was sitting on the porch so I grabbed that & went to spray Earnie. I got him alright, but he ran up to me, grabbed the end of the spray nozzle and pointed it at me. By the time all was said & done I am not sure who was the wetter of the two! Despite me being ornery to him, he was very gentle in his revenge upon me & made sure he didn't hurt me in our horsing around. So, I guess after reading this you can tell that I am feeling pretty good! I still get stuck in the bathroom if the door sticks. I am still unable to lift anything over 5lbs (even that is still to much for me). I can't drive. My sternum & collar bone ache from time to time. I get stuck in chairs & can't sit up in bed by myself. But it's obvious I'm getting better because my ornery side has come out. So, for those of you who did not know I can be mischievious...SURPRISE. I know, I just look so quiet & innocent. LOL
Bob just got 'home' from work. He went back to work yesterday (tuesday). I think he enjoyed being off work for 3wks. He didn't enjoy the 1wk in the hospital, but I know he's enjoyed the rest of the time! Have a good day, and remember....don't be throwing any water ballons! LOL
