One of the things Faith has enjoyed doing here at Mom & Dad's is picking flowers. Mom has a wide range of flowers, and for the most part Faith is free to pick what she wants. There is one flower though that Mom told Faith she could not pick. It is called "STELLA DE ORO". It looks like a little yellow lily. Yesterday, Mom found Faith hiding behind the hostas with her hand behind her back. Faith had picked one of the "Stella de Oro" flowers. Grandma had alittle talk with Faith and told her those were not to be picked. Last night, after helping Earnie with chores (milking the cow) Faith came running into the house. "Grandma! Grandma!" You have a Sally O'Dell!"
"A what?" Grandma asked
"You have a Sally O'Dell and I didn't even pick it!" Faith replied.
We were all in stitches as we figured out Faith had created a new name for the Stella de Oro as she couldn't remember the correct name. Now, we have all just started calling them "Sally O'Dell flowers". lol
