A Trip Home
I wanted to blog tonight, but will make it short as I am getting tired. After being gone from my own home for 19 days, I went home today. Bob was planning to go home today & mow the yard. He took 2 of my brothers, Earnie & Peter with him. I decided I wanted to go home for the day so went with them. Mom & Dad were going to a family reunion & thought about going with them instead. However, I was afraid it would be to much and would tire easily. I didn't want to confine Dad's visiting with his family to the very short time I could endure sitting in a lawn chair. If I stayed here at Mom & Dad's someone would have to stay with me as I can not always get out of chairs by myself. Not to mention getting stuck in the bathroom if I forget and latch the door completely! The only draw back to going home was the long drive there & back. I decided I wanted to go home so I did. I took some tylenol right before we left and handled the trip there fairly well. (You don't realize how rough a road is until you have been split down the middle!!) When we got home the boys started mowing while Faith & I walked around the yard looking at flowers and kitties. It was sad to see though that our little kitties had forgotten us and did not want to be played with. Peter the cat was not around so hopefully she (yes a she!) was just out on a hunt. Mom had sent lunch home with us so I just had to heat it in the oven. I took a short nap while lunch was heating. After lunch I was left to clean up the kitchen & dining room. It didn't amount to much as we'd used paper plates, but the small amount of dishes combined with sweeping the dining room floor was enough for me! I took another nap after lunch before collecting the few items we wanted to take back with us. On the way home I was going to take some more tylenol, but fell fast asleep shortly after we left the house. I slept all the way home! So, if you are counting, I did have 3 naps today! I had wondered if I would sleep tonight, but that fear has left. The ride there and back along with the small amount of work I did wore me out. There's a line for the shower right now. As soon as I get mine I'm headed to bed & know I will sleep well. In the mean time Peter is requesting that I help him with his Bible memory verses. Until next time........
